Military

  • It all started this year but really I’ve always thought about joining the army ever since I was a kid. My entire life I thought I was going move to Florida after graduation and then later on join the army but those plans changed last summer when I was told I couldn’t bring my girlfriend to Florida with me. The whole thing just made my military dreams even stronger. My grandfather was a Warrant Officer in the army and my brother was Airborne Infantry, they kind of got the ball rolling in my head about the army when I was a kid and what I could do in the military. There are a lot of benefits with the military and I plan to use as many as I can to prove myself and put my stamp in history someway. I want people to remember my name and what I’ve done. I actually made my mind up to go right after graduation at that military pep rally earlier in the school year. I plan to do everything possible to better my life such as furthering my education while in the army, getting as many promotions as I can, switching into the officer branch, and eventually retire and either become a state trooper, game warden, or go into some kind of government office. I have no intentions of staying a small town kid that doesn’t do anything with his life. The military is a major role in my life and I know I’ll learn the skills necessary to become the greatest I can be. I even thought about running for president and you never know I might give it a shot when I’m old. I feel that the military is an amazing learning experience for anyone to become something greater and it could change someone’s life. No matter what you do in the military it will change some part of your life such as emotionally or just how you see the world and or the people in the world. I understand that some people are scared of the military but everything in life is scary and it would be better to risk your life for a better future than risk it living on the streets, doing something illegal, or just not doing anything with your life.

  • I have many reasons for joining the Navy but I will give you the simplest answer I can come up with. Freedom; We as Americans do not realize how good we’ve got it and take everyday life for granted. I want to serve my country and doing so will allow me to better myself as well as give me the ambition to succeed in life. It will allow me to build a career and let me serve at the same time. I am excited to be a part of the US Navy and look forward to what my future holds!

  • I am not going into the US Military for the "thank you's" or the hugs. I'm going because I am willing to risk quality time with family and also my own life for my fellow Americans to live a graceful and peaceful life and be home. I choose the Marine Corps simply because they re the first to fight and they are different than any other branch. But anyways my simple reason for enlisting is so that my friends, family, and fellow Americans can sleep in peace and live as they please. Someone has to do it, why not me!
