Jasper ISD Names October Bulldogs of the Month
Jasper ISD is proud to recognize the October recipients of the Bulldogs of the Month awards for the 2026–27 school year: Natalia Johnson of Jasper Junior High School, Teacher of the Month, and Samantha Gray of Jasper High School, Employee of the Month.
Jasper ISD is proud to recognize Natalia Johnson, English teacher and Junior High Cheer Coach at Jasper Junior High School, as our October Teacher of the Month!
Natalia goes above and beyond in her commitment to serving our students. In addition to teaching and coaching, she continually looks for ways to meet needs beyond the classroom. Recently, she recognized a need for hygiene products and everyday necessities among students and took the initiative to partner with Harvest Church to help collect donations. Thanks to her willingness to speak up and advocate for our students, donations were gathered to provide essential items for students at both Jasper Junior High and Jasper High School.
Natalia exemplifies what it means to be a Bulldog. She sees a need and takes action, investing her time, energy, and heart into making a difference in the lives of students. Her leadership, compassion, and willingness to serve remind us that being an educator means so much more than teaching a subject—it means caring for the whole student.
Jasper ISD is also proud to recognize Samantha Gray, Life Skills paraprofessional at Jasper High School, as our October Employee of the Month!
Samantha goes above and beyond to support her students and classroom each day. Whether she is assisting a student, helping with classroom responsibilities, or stepping in when the unexpected happens, she is always ready to lend a hand. Her ability to remain calm, patient, and positive during challenging moments makes her an invaluable part of the Life Skills team.
Samantha brings more than dependability and compassion to her role—she also brings a wonderful sense of humor and an outgoing personality that brighten the classroom and make even difficult days a little easier. Most importantly, she genuinely cares about her students and is committed to helping them succeed. Her willingness to serve, encourage others, and approach each day with kindness is a wonderful example of what it means to be a Jasper Bulldog.
The Bulldogs of the Month award recognizes Jasper ISD teachers and staff members who go above and beyond in their work, support our students and schools, and exemplify the Jasper Bulldog spirit. As part of the recognition, each Bulldog of the Month recipient receives a custom embroidered Bulldog jacket and polo shirt, donated by Jeansonne Financial. In addition, the Teacher of the Month receives a $500 gift card, generously donated by Lakes Country Chevrolet. Thank you so much for your generosity, Lakes Country!
Jasper ISD congratulates Natalia and Samantha on this well-deserved recognition and thanks them for the important role they play in making our schools and our district a better place for students every day.
