Advisory: Road Work to Begin in JJHS and Parnell School Zones

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will soon begin work on Houston Street from FM 777 intersection to Wheeler Street (Hwy 96). This stretch of construction will pass directly through Jasper ISD school zones for Parnell and Jasper Junior High. Work and construction signage should be installed on this project within the next few days. Portions of the work will be done at night to help with traffic around the schools and downtown area. The work will take approximately 45 days to complete. We ask that you take precautions when traveling through the construction zone. Plan your routes accordingly and arrive earlier than normal, as delays will slow down the drop-off and release of students. 

El Departamento de Transporte de Texas (TxDOT) comenzará pronto las obras en Houston Street, desde la intersección con FM 777 hasta Wheeler Street (Hwy 96). Este trecho de construcción pasará directamente por las zonas escolares de Jasper ISD correspondientes a Parnell y Jasper Junior High. Los anuncios del trabajo y construcción para este proyecto deberían instalarse en los próximos días. Parte de los trabajos se realizarán durante la noche para facilitar el tráfico en los alrededores de las escuelas y en el área del centro de la ciudad. Se estima que las obras tardarán aproximadamente 45 días en completarse. Le solicitamos que tome precauciones al transitar por la zona de construcción. Planifique sus rutas en consecuencia y llegue más temprano de lo normal, ya que los retrasos demorarán los procesos de llegada y salida de los estudiantes.
