A new semester is a really GOOD THING!
A new semester is a time to reflect on the activities of the past semester and set goals and expectations for the new one. Also, the spring semester is B-U-S-Y! Just a sampling of what is happening now or coming soon:
- Basketball season is in full swing
- Soccer is beginning
- Softball, baseball, tennis, track, and golf are right around the corner
- Show season for 4-H and FFA
- Fishing continues
- STAAR/EOC testing
- Spring Break
- Prom, banquets, luncheons, and award programs
- Field trips
- Band concerts
- Community events
- and finally……..GRADUATION!

- Third Graders demonstrated remarkable growth in Math and Science on middle-of-year assessments--almost a year's growth in math and OVER a year's growth in science!
- First Grade presented a wonderful Christmas Music program before the break
- Junior High Students are getting ready for UIL
- Representatives from Jasper-Newton Electric Cooperative delivered a 20-minute presentation to Seniors highlighting available scholarship opportunities. They also conducted a separate 20-minute presentation for Sophomores and Juniors focused on ETREYS (East Texas Rural Electric Youth Seminar). JHS students were very respectful and attentive throughout both presentations.

In Person: Meetings are held at 6:00pm at the Jasper ISD Administration Building at 128 Park Street in the Board Room unless otherwise noted.
